Gales Creek – On the grounds of the historic Gales Creek School, past attendees of this former elementary school will gather on Sunday, August 25 from 1 to 5 pm to remember days gone by learning and studying in the only school remaining in the Gales Creek Valley.

The site of the former elementary school is currently host to the Oak Grove Academy, a therapeutic program that serves students that qualify for special education from grades 6-12.

According to the reunion organizers, all Gales Creek Elementary School alumni, staff, families, and Gales Creek community residents are welcome at the potluck-style event. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert, with hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks provided.

Donations are accepted at the event to help offset the cost of food.

Returning to this year’s gathering is live music by the Coin Club Band.

Alcohol and pets are not allowed on school grounds.

The Gales Creek School is located in downtown Gales Creek at 9125 NW Sargent Rd, Gales Creek, OR 97117.
