Six acres burned in the Tillamook Forest as region enters fire weather watch
The wildfire season is here a bit early, with six acres burning on private forestland in the Tillamook Forest on Monday. Much of the Willamette Valley will enter a Fire Weather Watch beginning Thursday afternoon and extending to at least Thursday evening.

Police clear from scene on Agaard Road
More than 15 police vehicles from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Police responded to Agaard Road on Tuesday afternoon after 911 was dialed and the line was left open. Dispatchers heard a conversation that was cause for concern, but in the end, police determined that no crime was committed and left the scene.

Coleman's to close permanently
The roadside restaurant — Coleman's 9N Shady Rest — west of the Highway 6 and 8 intersection in Gales Creek will not reopen, according to a statement made on the diner's Facebook page.
