Studded tire season extended to May 15
Studded tire season has once again been extended — this time to May 15 —in light of social distancing orders as the state grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, ODOT says, if you can take them off before that while maintaining social distancing, please do.

Oregon OSHA fields more than 2800 COVID-19 related complaints
Oregon OSHA has received about 2,800 complaints from employees so far who are still required to go into work rather than telecommuting; the complaints come from workers who say it is more than possible for their employer to allow them to work remotely, from home.

The primaries: A look at Vineeta Lower, candidate for Oregon House District 32
Vineeta Lower (R-Seaside), an online English public school teacher for the Oregon Virtual Academy, is running for the Republican nomination for the Oregon House of Representatives’ District 32 seat, which currently is held by outgoing rep. Tiffiny Mitchell (D-Astoria). It will be Lower's second attempt at the position after winning the Republican nomination but losing the general election to Mitchell in 2018.
