The Balm Grove dam removal project in Gales Creek was once envisioned as a way to mitigate negative impacts to fish habitat caused by proposed projects at Hagg Lake's Scoggins Dam. Clean Water Services now says the Balm Grove project has stalled after running into permitting and funding issues.
