Inmate who escaped work crew has history of running from authorities
Brandon Sykes walked away from a South Fork Forest Camp work crew late Monday morning near the Coast Range summit on Highway 6.
It’s not the first time law enforcement officers have had to comb the forest for Mr. Sykes.

Inmate walks away from work crew near Highway 6 summit
A man walked away from an inmate work crew near the summit of the Coast Range on Highway 6 around 11:35 a.m., according to the Oregon Department of Corrections, who are seeking the public's help in locating Brandon Sykes, age 35.

Small brush fire extinguished in Hillside
A small brush fire caused by an escaped burn pile threatened a home in the Hillside community, but is now out, according to Forest Grove Fire & Rescue.
