Oregon's reported coronavirus deaths surpass 1,000 as cases climb
More than 1,000 Oregonians have died in Oregon after contracting the novel coronavirus, the Oregon Health Authority announced Friday. The total deaths attributed to COVID-19 numbered 1,003 as of Friday. The first dose of a limited number of vaccines are expected to be shipped to Oregon in mid-December for use by front line healthcare workers and long-term care residents. “Our hardest days still lie ahead,” Governor Kate Brown said.
