Mon Oct 27 – A clear beautiful day. Did up our morning work & went to town to get Uncle Henry, he came back from Tillamook Sunday, stayed at Mildred’s last nite. We got home at 11. He bought us a big salmon
Tue Oct 28 – A beautiful day & a big frost. We did our usual work. Grandpa Herrick came over a while. Gladie went fishing. I made paper flowers. Charley looked for a little bull, was missing, found him right near the orchard, dead. Some hunter had shot him. Gladie & I made roses after supper.
Wed Oct 29 – A lovely day, a big frost. I did a wash real early and other work. We had dinner early & Uncle Henry, Gladie & I went over to Green’s. Got there at 1 o’clock, they were surprised. We went up to see Haze; a while, got home at 4:30.
Thur Oct 30 – A frost but clouded up. We did our usual work. Troy came over awhile in morning. We had early dinner & Uncle Henry, Troy, Gladie & I went up to Camp to see the kids. First time we had been up since Baby Ronnie came. Ted & Thelma had company. We did not go over there, got home at 3:30, it rained in p.m. Charley picked apples. Gladie went to a show.
Fri Oct 31 – A lovely day. We ironed & other work, made paper flowers, listened to Amos & Andy.
Sat Nov 1 – A clear lovely day. We did our usual Sat. work. Afternoon, Uncle Henry, Gladie & I went to F.G. Charley began to haul some gravel for the road up hill. We listened to Amos & Andy again.
Sun Nov 2 – A lovely day. Did the morning work up. Got a nice dinner. Billie, Elsie & Baby came about 11. Gladie went for a ride, some place. After noon, we had company. Arther Clark came, Mrs. Gulley, Vera, Thelma, Freddie, Betty & Buddie, Henry Gevert & Oliver, Ted & Thelma came. After supper, Billie & Elsie left about 7. We went to church, Mrs. Poupore had an illustrated sermon, had the church decorated up in green & roses. Ted & Thelma stayed till after we left.
