No other vehicles were involved in the crash, the cause of which remains under investigation.

“Rt. 14 veered off the road in foggy conditions this morning. All students were evaluated by first responders and there were no injuries. All affected families have been contacted,” the FGSD said in a popup statement that greeted visitors to their website.

Students were ferried to school by an alternate bus or picked up by a parent or guardian, the district said.

The district is investigating the crash with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Mid-Columbia Bus Co., the company contracted by the district to provide bus services.

Mid Columbia Bus Company could not immediately be reached for comment.
